SBR Sewage Treatment Plant, Lifting Station, Water Softener & Swimming Pool Filtration

This project involved the design, supply and installation of a complete water and wastewater treatment solution for a residential villa. The scope covered the treatment of domestic sewage, wastewater lifting, water softening and swimming pool filtration.

The project was designed as an integrated solution to provide reliable wastewater treatment and improve the quality of water used throughout the property.

SBR Sewage Treatment Plant

An SBR (Sequencing Batch Reactor) sewage treatment system was installed to treat domestic wastewater generated from the villa.

The SBR process uses biological treatment to reduce organic pollutants and suspended solids in sewage. The system operates through controlled treatment cycles, allowing aeration, biological treatment, settling and treated-water discharge to take place within the treatment process.

The compact SBR system provides an effective solution for villas where reliable wastewater treatment is required within a limited footprint.

Sewage Lifting Station

A dedicated sewage lifting station was installed to transfer wastewater from the villa to the SBR treatment system where gravity flow was not sufficient.

The lifting station includes:

  • Collection tank
  • Submersible sewage pumps
  • Level control system
  • Pump control panel
  • Float/level sensors
  • Non-return valves
  • Isolation valves
  • Discharge piping

The system automatically transfers collected sewage to the SBR plant based on the wastewater level in the lifting station.

Water Softener System

A water softening system was installed to reduce hardness in the villa's water supply.

The softener uses ion-exchange technology to reduce calcium and magnesium ions responsible for water hardness. This helps minimize scale formation in:

  • Water heaters
  • Plumbing fixtures
  • Shower systems
  • Appliances
  • Water distribution pipework

The system is designed for reliable operation with periodic regeneration to maintain softening performance.

Swimming Pool Water Filtration

A dedicated water filtration system was installed for the swimming pool to maintain clear and clean pool water.

The filtration system includes suitable filtration equipment and circulation pumping to continuously remove suspended particles and impurities from the pool water.

The system supports effective pool-water circulation and filtration and can be operated together with the pool's chemical treatment system.

Control & Automation

The installed systems are equipped with suitable controls to provide reliable and convenient operation.

Depending on the individual system, controls include:

  • Automatic pump operation
  • Level-based pump control
  • High/low-level protection

  • Pressure monitoring
  • Automatic regeneration for the water softener

The systems were tested to ensure proper operation of pumps, controls, valves and associated equipment.

Following installation, the systems were commissioned and checked for proper operation and performance.
