Overview
EcoThrive designs and builds Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems engineered to produce low-TDS, high-purity water from various sources, including municipal supplies, brackish groundwater, and seawater. Our objective is simple: deliver stable permeate quality, predictable operating costs, and long-term mechanical reliability.
Process Description
Our RO systems are designed for durability and efficiency:
- Pretreatment: Feed water passes through multimedia and cartridge filtration to remove suspended solids and protect membranes.
- Chemical Dosing: Antiscalants and pH control prevent fouling and scaling, ensuring membrane longevity.
- High-Pressure RO: Water is forced through semi-permeable membranes, rejecting 95–99.5% of salts, minerals, and contaminants.
- Post-Treatment: Permeate is stored, polished, or disinfected based on the final application.
Technology Options
- Brackish Water RO (BWRO): Medium-pressure systems for feed water with TDS below ~10,000 ppm.
- Seawater RO (SWRO): High-pressure systems for 30,000–45,000 ppm feed, utilizing corrosion-resistant materials and energy recovery devices.
- Commercial RO: Compact units for villas, restaurants, and buildings.
Key Applications
- Drinking Water Production
- Industrial Process Water & Boilers
- Irrigation for Farms & Landscaping
- Hotels, Labor Camps & Villas
- Remote Site Containerized Systems
Performance Facts
- High Recovery: 35–45% for seawater, up to 95% for low-TDS tap water.
- Energy Efficient: Modern energy recovery devices in SWRO can cut power consumption by 40–50%.
- Long Life: With proper pretreatment (SDI < 3), membrane lifespan ranges from 3–5 years.
- Cost Savings: A well-designed system can reduce operational costs by 20–30% compared to poorly engineered alternatives.
